Free Association Radio ("we", "the site") is an independent, one-person publication. This policy explains what limited data the site collects and how it is handled. Effective September 2026.

Who runs this site

Free Association Radio is operated by an individual publishing under the name Faron Vale. For any privacy question, contact faronvale.onair@gmail.com.

What we collect

We aim to collect as little as possible.

Email address — only if you subscribe to the newsletter. It is used to send the test notes you signed up for, nothing else, and you can unsubscribe from any email.

Analytics — the site may use privacy-respecting analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. This is aggregate and not used to identify you personally.

Server logs — like most websites, the hosting server records standard technical data (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and troubleshooting.

Cookies

The site uses only essential cookies needed to function, plus any set by analytics if enabled. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can block cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.

Third parties

Some pages link to external sources (platform policies, court records, news). Those sites have their own privacy policies, which we don't control. Audio and fonts may load from third-party services; the newsletter is handled by an email provider that stores your address to deliver messages.

Your rights

You can ask what data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw newsletter consent at any time. If you're in the EU or UK, the GDPR gives you these rights explicitly — email the address above and we'll act on any request.

Data retention

Newsletter emails are kept until you unsubscribe. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security. We don't sell or rent any data to anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the effective date above is updated. Material changes affecting subscribers will be noted in the newsletter.
